Join the Loxahatchee River Center of Jupiter every Saturday from 2pm to 2:30pm for a free public tour of their aquarium. Not only do you and the kids get to learn all about local Florida wildlife, but you’ll have the opportunity to see the fish in action during feeding time!

The River Center is a great place to take your kids to learn about the Loxahatchee River system hands-on through live aquatic tanks, interactive exhibits, and even a “touch tank” populated with marine animals.

This Saturday, November 16th, 2019, the Concorso Ferrari Palm Beach event returns to sunny Jupiter, Florida on Abacoa Golf Club. More than sixty classes and modern Ferraris will be displayed by members of the Ferrari Club of America. This event is free to the public from 10 AM to 3 PM, but car registration if reserved for Ferrari Club of America members.

The Concorso will be judged according to IAC/PFA standards, and will honor POST (Pediatric Oncology Support Team) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. POST helps children and their families cope with heartbreaking effects of childhood cancer.

Volleyball is a favorite pastime in the Palm Beaches. Especially now that the weather is cooling off, what better way to spend a Saturday or Sunday than playing outdoor volleyball with friends and family? Here are a few great places to play some volleyball in the South Florida sun.

Burt Reynolds Park

Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter is located in northern Palm Beach County and houses the Jupiter Chamber of Commerce and the River Center. This 35.55 acres park runs laterally along 2000 feet of the Intracoastal Waterway. It includes a sand volleyball court, six ramps for boat launching for those boating enthusiasts. There are also plenty of picnic shelters, some including grills. Saltwater fishing is also allowed within the area.

Do you want a better understanding of the problems our local waterways face? Come out to the Florida Oceanographic Society’s annual Rally for the River and learn about a possible solution.

The Florida Oceanographic Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1964 with the mission to inspire environmental stewardship of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through education, research and advocacy.

This event is free for all ages along Flagler Park’s waterfront. Event Highlights to include: Oyster Shell Bagging Station, Mangrove Plantings, Hands-on Demonstrations, Waterway Discussions with Local Experts, Shoreline Clean-up, Educational Booths, Marine Mammal Rescue Ambulance, Children’s Activities and Face Painting.

Head to Harbourside Place this Friday night in Jupiter for Silent Disco. The newest party trend is to help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event is for those 21 years old and older. Silent Disco is a great way to have fun. Those who attend the party will put headphones on and head out to the dance floor to have a great time. Depending on which of the three channels you are listening too, each person will have a different song playing.

The three channels are color coded, Red, Blue or Green and you get to choose which playlist you want to listen too throughout the night. The night of fun will also include all you can drink specials and light hors d’oeuvres are included with every ticket.

Riverbend Park is a 680-acre preserve in Jupiter and is an ideal destination for hikers who want a taste of the wilds of Southeast Florida without getting their feet wet. More than 15 miles of interconnected trails and roads make up the trail network. The hiking trails are engineered, broad walkways of compacted limestone. Signage and kiosks make it nearly impossible to get lost. It’s nature, tamed, making it accessible to city dwellers who’d otherwise never take a hike.

Rosemary Square, formally CityPlace in West Palm Beach hosts a weekly wellness class on Wednesday evening’s once a month.

The fitness class is free and all are welcomed to attend. Come and channel your inner drummer for the Drum Fit workout class. Drum Fit classes are part of the new fitness craze and the class mixes movement and music together for the perfect workout. The class is led by Alina Orenstein at Pound.

The class is a drumming exercise class that uses weighted drumsticks designed to transform drumming into a body interval and fat burning workout. If you plan on attending the class, you are asked to bring a mat, towel and water to the class.

Paws in the Park is a fun recurring event around Jupiter where dog owners can bring their pets to the beach and interact and meet other local dog-owners. The event includes food, fun, and features many pet-focused business offering you information and products to improve the life of your pet.
