Bring your dogs to the waterfront in West Palm Beach this Sunday, February 10th for their “Paws In The Park” event starting at 10 am.

This free event for dogs and their owners that features a pet photo booth, a doggie lure track for your pets to run around and play, food trucks, splash dogs dock jumping, a kid’s zone, a free gift provided by many of the vendors onsite for the day. The Food Trucks and vendors include: Little Moirs Food Shack and Leftovers Café, Dutch Magic, Chappy’s Food Cart, Tommy’s Concession, PCI Concessions Bar and Tropical Sno Dealtorship of Florida.

The Palm beach Zoo and Conservation Society is a non-profit organization and one of Florida’s top-rated Zoological Organizations. The popular zoo is located in Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The zoo is home to over 550 animals and over 190 different species. Many of the animals here are endangered and roam through the 23 acres of tropical habit. Most recently the Zoo has welcomed a new Baird’s Tapir Calf, or a Central American Tapir which are native to Mexico, Central America, and northwestern South America. The baby calf was born January 20th.

The Palm Beach Zoo has added their special events for the month of February to their calendar.

The 4th Annual Barks, Babes, and Bros is happening this Friday at Camelot in West Palm Beach. The event a giant party and celebrity auction to raise funds for injured rescue dogs in South Florida and the coup de grâce is a celebrity dating auction just in time for Valentine’s Day being the week prior. The charity is expecting some big-name celebrities including recording artist, Kendra Erika who will be hosting the evening and performing one of her hit singles before the contestants take the stage.

The 2019 Manatee Lagoon Festival is back again this weekend. The ManateeFest kicks off tomorrow Friday, February 1st with a Movie Night Kickoff.

The movie for the kickoff is “Finding Nemo” starting at 5 pm. Bring your chairs and blankets for the movie under the stars to kick off the fun event. Food and drink vendors will be on site during the movie night.

This Saturday, February 2nd is the ManateeFest starting at 9 am to 4 pm. The festival and the Manatee Lagoon are in their third year and is a free event for the whole family. It's understandable since the average daily temperature reaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit and it is a popular destination for a break from the blistering cold up north. Many visitors fall in love with the area and ultimately buy a home.

Fishing is a popular activity in South Florida. Whether you’re a beginner or have been fishing for years, the waterways of Jupiter and the Loxahatchee River provide an ideal spot for a large variety of inshore and offshore fishing along the 380-mile intercostal waterways of Florida. Some of the fish included Speckled Sea Trout, Jacks, Redfish, Snook, Pompano and the seasonal Tarpon, all found in the waterways along Jupiter.

Both the northern and southern jetties of the Jupiter Inlet have massive schools of Redfish and Snooks, that Jupiter has been labelled the “Snook Capital of the World”. You can look for Snook feeding off minnows and shrimp at night near lighted areas near the waterways.

The Everglades National Park is located within a 2.5-hour drive from Palm Beach County. The National Park is considered to be one of Florida’s most cherished state park. In August 2018 the park turned 96 years old and is the third largest park and third largest tropical wilderness in the country.

The 2019 Palm Beach Masters is the ultimate horse show and features three events between January and March. The Master series features international show jumping combined with a social scene to bring the horse shows to the next level. The three events take place at the Deeridge Farms in Wellington.

This year, the series has added another new event, called the Nations Cup which includes eight nations competing against each other, similar to the Olympic Games format.
