Jupiter Lighthouse

CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX) a leading provider of information, business services and analytics released its October 2012 report comparing it to October 2011.  It noted home prices nationwide, including distressed sales, increased on a year over year basis by 6.3 percent.  This change signifies the biggest increase since June of 2006.  It is also the eighth consecutive increase in home prices nationally on a year-by-year basis. www.corelogic.com

Holidays at the Lighthouse

Quest for Crest- Sailfish Series

There are three legs to the sailfish series beginning at the historic Sailfish Marina on Singer Island and spanning to Key Largo, Florida.  Leg one, named “Operation Sailfish” will be held on December 12-16.  Leg 2, The Sailfish Challenge, boasts its status as the largest sailfish tournament in the country.  Held on February 7-10, the Sailfish Challenge, encompasses a 3-inlet format, and uses the IGFA Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale as home base for the tournament.  As the sailfish push south, the final leg of the tournament is the Jimmy Johnson National Billfish Championship.  It takes place at the Big Chill in Key Largo, FL.  www.jjsbigchill.com  Set for March 6–9, 2012, join Jimmy and other celebrities compete for the National Billfish

The 2012 Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season this Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 6:00p.m with a traveling fireworks display up the Intracoastal Waterway.  The parade will travel 10 miles, from North Palm Beach, south of the North Palm Beach Marina, to the Jupiter Lighthouse, via the Intracoastal Waterway.  The parade begins at 6:00 pm and arrives in Jupiter approximately around 8:00 pm.   The parade benefits U.S. Marines “Toys for Tots” and last year collected more than 18,000 toys for needy children in Palm Beach County.

Thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition in all parts of our great nation in which we celebrate the 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving prompted by a hearty harvest. The Mannheim Steamroller Show

More than 1600 students a year are touched each year by the ART COUNCIL of MARTIN COUNTY.  They provide a wide variety of programs that benefit the community through the arts.  The Council believes that educating the youth of the community about art is vitally important to their creativity and thusly strengthening their leadership skills and aiding their academic development. 

The ART COUNCIL also teams up with Martin Memorial Hospital and encourages of the advantages of art helping heal hearts, minds, and bodies.  They have assisted Alzheimer’s patients, along with arts therapists, in the adult care program.
