It’s no secret that Palm Beach County is an ideal locale to reconnect with a loved one. It is a pretty spectacular setting for romance and family bonding time. The warmer days and cooler evening temperatures make for time with your loved one.  Everything from a waterfront dinner al fresco, perhaps U-Tiki, or the stereotypical long walk on the beach in the moonlight can create sparks. Stunning ocean views are the perfect backdrop to fall in love.

The romantic couple or family bonding moments can take place outdoors. Share something memorable. Keeping in mind that everyone’s idea of romance or family bonding is different. Quality time doesn’t have to be glitzy! Although it’s very nice, perhaps try something minimalistic like everything Palm Beach has to

Southeast Florida pays homage to Louisiana and all things in common with the Sunshine State.  On November 9, National Louisiana Day recognizes the state that brought us such treasures as Jazz, Creole, Beignets and Mardi Gras.

Louisiana has a moist subtropical climate just like South Florida. Both states are "classic" examples of a sultry climate with long, warm, humid summers and short, mild winters. Comparatively, Tampa and New Orleans are relatively similar in climate.  Tampa has less rainfall and precipitation.  Florida claims more sunny days than Louisiana too. The comfort index is higher in Florida as well.

Both Florida and Louisiana are on the Gulf Coast of the United States. It is the coastline along the Southern United States where several

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is securely anchored in historic downtown Lake Worth.  The Cultural Council is Palm Beach County’s endorsed arts agency serving non-profit cultural organizations and professional artists in the county.

Lake Worth Playhouse, the oldest building on the register of the Art Deco Society of Palm Beach County, has provided 60 years of excellence in the performing arts. It is a venue offering a variety of mainstream and alternative programming, both live and, in its Stonzek Theatre, on film. The Playhouse is one of the oldest surviving examples of this architectural style. It reopened in 1929, adding its neon sign, which may be the oldest still in use in the United States in its original site.

South Florida’s Palm Beach County is a slice of heaven where you can exercise outside, essentially, any time of year.  However, this time of year is almost too good to be true not to escape the gym and get outside. Nature is a perfect playground.

According to a study in the journal “Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise”, people are as much as 40 percent more likely to exercise regularly in the summer than in the winter.  Most of the heart benefiting effort comes from leg muscles and glutes.  Imagine the challenge of running beach sand.  Sounds a bit tougher than the treadmill at the gym.

Don’t bother with old school sit-ups to work your core muscles.  Concentrate the exercise routine on stability.  Surfing, kayaking, kite surfing or standup

Cinquez Park, located at 2183 West Indiantown Road in Jupiter, is a new dog park which has joined other dog friendly “off leash” fun spots in addition to the beach.  Under the direction of their owners, a dog park is a safe place for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a secure environment.  Most canine parks characteristically offer a 6' fence, separate gated entries for large and small breeds, water, shade for hot days and benches for humans.  The dog park should have regular maintenance and sanitizing of the grounds.

Cities are opening dog parks because the demand continues to increase. The number of dog parks have increased 20% over the past five years. Wandering freely is positive for dogs. Studies show that leads can cause dogs to become

Fireball Alert: No, not “that” Fireball!  Look up in the Jupiter evening sky tonight to hopefully, witness a celestial fireball. November is a busy month for the night sky.  A fireball is an alternative term for a very bright meteor, generally brighter than magnitude -4, which is about the same magnitude of the brightest planet, Venus, in the morning or evening sky.  Then there is a bolide. That is a distinct type of fireball which explodes in a bright flash when it reaches the atmosphere, usually with visible disintegration.

The Taurid meteor shower happens this week, and it can be “bold in its showmanship”. The Taurid meteor is known for cutting through dark night skies with brilliant, long-lasting fireballs. All Taurids are debris from the Comet
