Save The Date! On Saturday, December 1st, Jupiter’s Harbourside Place is generously hosting a Holiday Boat Parade Watch Party from the roof deck of this luxurious waterfront location.

This exclusive event will run from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, and will include dinner and an open bar, with proceeds benefitting the AustinBlu Foundation.

In case you’re not a Jupiter local, the AustinBlu Foundation is very close to our community’s hearts. The foundation was formed in the wake of a tragedy involving two young boys who were lost at sea on July 24th, 2015. Their love for the ocean reminds Jupiter boaters to take great joy in boating, but to respect the majesty of the sea by taking precautions to prevent this devastating accident from happening again. We have a little cold front coming through South Florida. Some may think that's a good excuse for skipping the gym. But working out in the cold, jogging and (if you can bear it) swimming, is actually very good for you and studies have shown that being outside in cold weather can transform white fat, specifically belly and thigh fat, into calorie-burning beige or brown fat. Brown fat's purpose is to burn calories to generate heat. Brown fat is often referred to as the "good" fat because it helps to burn rather than store calories.

So, if you live in South Florida, don’t hibernate in the cold, get outside and exercise!

The Florida “cold snap” this weekend has lows in the 60’s rolling through, producing ideal conditions for sailfish cruising through. Kitefish with goggle eyes in 120-250’ of water, and after your first sail, target a tighter area around that depth. A few dolphin are still in the equation off Palm Beach Inlet, but no strong numbers seem to be showing up.

The snapper bite has been solid lately, with large muttons and yellowtail congregating on the reef. Live ballyhoo, sardines, or midsized pinfish work great.

Inshore fishing has slowed down quite a bit, with Snook and redfish becoming finicky to the tide. You’ll have to feel out each spot for what tide works best, and keep a close eye on it once you figure it out.

The Juno Beach pier has been

If you want to go boating in South Florida, there are some things you’re going to need. The first, of course, is a boating license. According to the FWC: In order to operate a motorboat of ten (10) horsepower or greater, Florida law requires anyone who was born on or after Jan. 1, 1988 to successfully complete an approved boating safety course and obtain a Boating Safety Education Identification Card issued by the FWC.

Alright, so you got your license. There are still some things you need to have on-board your boat before you set sail. In Florida the following minimum boat safety equipment is required on all Class A recreational boats (less than 16 feet in length), canoes and kayaks:
