Come watch the first ever First Responders Appreciation Golf Tournament this Sunday at Banyan Cay Resort & Golf in West Palm Beach.

The tournament consists of 25 teams of four Police Officers, Firefighters and EMTs. It was created to honor our first responders and show appreciation for the dangerous, stressful work they do every day. 

The winning team will receive the Grand Prize of $1,000 to a charity of their choice. Other awards will be given our for Closest to the Pin, Straightest Drive, Longest Putt and a Hole in One Grand Prize of a new car for a year.   

The schedule follows:

7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. - Breakfast
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. - Play 
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. -  Lunch
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. -  Awards

Jupiter Hills will make Florida golf history this month when it hosts the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship on May 19th-23rd, making it the first course in the state to hold multiple USGA Championships. 

Jupiter Hills was created by Hall of Fame architect Tom Fazio, who designed more than 40 courses in Florida. Fazio has 14 courses on Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses- more than any other designer alive.

The Jupiter Hills course is different than any other because it is built upon natural hills of a sand ridge that runs all the way up to Vero Beach. There was never a need to bring sand to the course and yet each hole has a 40-50 yard elevation change. “There was a geologic study that showed where Jupiter Hills was built, thousands of

Those who snorkel, dive, surf and fish know to go online and check conditions before heading to the water. You check the temperature, high tide times, swell height, visibility, etc. But aside from reading all the numbers, you can actually see the beach through cameras that are set up along the Martin and Palm Beach County coastlines.

Two Palm Beach County cities have made the list of the “10 Best Places to Visit” done by Livability.com. Livability.com is a website that showcases some of the best cities to visit and live throughout the country. The website ranked more than 2,000 cities across the United States and both Boca Raton and Jupiter were ranked in the Top 10. Boca Raton and Jupiter were also the only two Florida cities to have made the list.

Jupiter is ranked number five and Boca Raton is ranked number seven. The website ranked the cities based on their relaxing and adventurous attractions in both cities.

The list highlights Jupiter’s culture, expansive nature preserves, beaches and parks, baseball stadium, iconic lighthouse, golf courses, and other tourist attractions.

The Hanley Foundation invites you to tee off at the 19th Annual Golf Classic at Admirals Cove, Jupiter on Monday, April 16, 2018. Hanley Foundation’s mission is to offer substance abuse prevention and education programs for parents, caregivers and school-age children. The Hanley Foundation provides financial aid scholarships for patients who could not otherwise afford addiction treatment. The day begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by 18-holes of competitive play. A silent auction will be held during the awards ceremony and luncheon.

The popular golf and entertainment facility is coming to West Palm Beach. In the past 6 months, Topgolf has opened more than 7 locations and they have plans for unveiling 10 more throughout the United States.

The new location in West Palm Beach stands out from the others. The West Palm Beach location is the first Topgolf location to be on the same property with an actual green grass golf facility. The iconic Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach was founded in 1896 by the industry tycoon Henry M. Flagler. Flagler, one of great American industrialists started a trend on the island of Palm Beach of elegant properties. Soon after, other industry tycoons and socialites began flocking to the new destination.

Flagler first made his debut on the island with The Royal Poinciana, a six-story hotel on the intracoastal side of the island. Just two years later, Flagler debuted the premier oceanfront hotel, The Breakers.

Unfortunately, the hotel had two fires, in 1903 and then again in 1925 and the hotel had to under go renovations. The second renovations were awarded to New York based architects and designers, Shultze and Weaver, who would later go on to create some

Every year, the PGA National Resort and Spa hosts The Honda Classic Golf Tournament in Palm Beach Gardens. Last year, Jupiter resident and Professional Golfer Rickie Fowler took home the winning title and earnings.

The PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home to The Honda Classic since 2007. The club features 5 challenging and exciting 18-hole golf courses, The Champion, The Palmer, The Squire, The Estates, and The Fazio. The Honda Classic is played on the Champion course every year. The Champion course was redesigned in 2014 and is now famous for “The Bear Trap”, three challenging holes that was designed by the Professional Golfer and local resident Jack Nicklaus.
