The Honda Classic is kicking off their famous golf tournament this year with a Kick Off Party this Thursday February 21st at the Gardens Mall.

Join the mall for a night of fun and to help kick off the week-long golf tournament with activities starting next Monday. The Honda Classic Golf Tournament is played every year at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens and this year returning champion Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott, and Tommy Fleetwood are just some of the big named players that will be participating in this year’s tournament.

The incorporated village of North Palm Beach is located in northern Palm Beach County along the intracoastal waterways and the Atlantic Ocean. The quite village has won an award in 1956 from the National Association of Home Builders as the best planned community. The village is home to about 13,000 residents as of 2017.

The North Palm Beach area was developed in the 1950’s by John D. MacArthur, a philanthropist. The village known for its golfing and famous PGA Tour residents is also home to the only state park in Palm Beach County.

Three Palm Beach golf courses have been ranked among The Golf Range Association of America’s top 50 best golf courses.

The John Prince Golf Learning Center and the Park Ridge Golf Course, both in Lake Worth, and the Okeeheelee Golf Course in West Palm Beach have been ranked as among the best practice ranges for the past several years.

The John Prince Golf Learning Center was recognized as one of the Top 50 “Stand-Alone” Ranges, which marked the seventh straight year the GRAA has honored the facility with the award after naming it the “Best New Range in the United States” in 2007.

The Okeeheelee and Park Ridge courses were each recognized as Top 50 “Public” Ranges for the third straight year.

The Honda Classic is just a few weeks away from being back in Palm Beach County and this year, attendees will get a better view of the action.

The tournament has added more than 20,000 square feet of expended hospitality spots and viewing venues. The 17th green is now closer to the water and the hole has been shortened to add more room the Bear Trap and Cobra Puma Village that surround the area. The Skysuites at the 17th have been expanded by 10,000 feet for more spectators. For the first time, the entire 17th hole will be enclosed by hospitality spots and seating.

It's understandable since the average daily temperature reaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit and it is a popular destination for a break from the blistering cold up north. Many visitors fall in love with the area and ultimately buy a home.

February can be the toughest of winter months in the Northern United States to cope with the elements. The excitement of the first winter snow has long faded, but there's still a month to go before spring begins. The Valentine month marks the home stretch. Get ready for The Oasis Championship next month in Boca Raton. The golf tournament recently changed its name from The Boca Championship.

The golfing event brings together some of the best acclaimed golfers to Palm Beach County. Golfers Nick Price, Hale Irwin, Corey Pavin, and Scott McCarron are just some of the professionals who will highlight this event.

The Oasis Championship also features women and men’s Pro-Am tournaments, clinics, putting contests and much more.

For the past eight months, the North Palm Beach Country Club’s golf course has under gone renovations and recently reopened its municipal course to the public. The golf course is located within a couple miles of some of the world’s best.

Construction on the course began in May of 2018 and was a major part of a project conducted by the Village of North Palm Beach. In addition to a redesign of the golf course, the project also calls for a new clubhouse which is scheduled to open later this year.

The North Palm Beach Country Club was built along the Intracoastal waterways in the 1920’s. The course was one of Seth Raynor’s last designs and some of his features has been lost throughout the years. In 2006, the course had a complete redesign by the

The Town of Jupiter’s beautiful Abacoa Community is home to a brand new 18-hole miniature golf course. The Golden Cub Mini Golf, located in the heart of Abacoa’s Town Center, 1145 Main Street Jupiter has a huge heart.  

Golden Cub Mini Golf has partnered with the Jack Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and together they will proudly donate a dollar from every full price round of mini golf to the foundation. Jack and Barbara Nicklaus founded the children’s charity in 2004.  In an effort to provide families access to world-class pediatric care, the Jack Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation is honored to support efforts to increase pediatric services here in our area.
