Think no pain and total relaxation with sensory deprivation a.k.a float therapy at Transitions Float Therapy located at 14141 U.S. Highway One, Juno Beach.  This is a brand-new concept in relaxation and pain relief therapy through the concept of sensory deprivation.

A sensory deprivation tank, also called an isolation tank or flotation tank, is used for restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST). It is a dark, soundproof tank that is filled with a foot or less of very dense salt water. The first tank was designed in 1954 by John C. Lilly, an American physician and neuroscientist. In the 1970s, viable float tanks were created and began being studied for probable health benefits. These days, finding a sensory deprivation tank is easy, with

The Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge just grew by about 4 acres.

Four contiguous beachfront lots on Jupiter Island’s North Beach Road were donated by the Coast Guard, increasing the federally protected sea turtle nesting habitat.

The beach is one of the most productive sea turtle nesting habitats in the U.S., the refuge's website says.

The now 1,095-acre sanctuary’s natural habitat — sand pine scrub, mangrove forests and miles of coastal dunes — supports about 40 plant and animal species listed as endangered, threatened or of special concern.

To expand the refuge, the U.S. House Tuesday passed the Jupiter Island Land Transfer Act, introduced by U.S. Rep. Brian Mast.

The results are in; Das Beer Garden offers the most diverse variety of craft beer in Palm Beach County.

America has seen an enormous boom in the craft beer market, with beer enthusiasts demanding more complex and tantalizing varieties than the previously dominant light lagers. As recently as 2012, the duopoly of Anheuser-Busch InBev and MillerCoors controlled nearly 90 percent of beer production.

In the last decade, independent breweries have expanded by a factor of six, and while Americans are actually drinking less beer than they did in the 2000s, they’re often opting for a superior product, like one of the 100+ beers available daily at Das Beer Garden in Jupiter’s Downtown Abacoa.

Craft breweries have focused on tastes that were

The Florida “cold snap” this weekend has lows in the 60’s rolling through, producing ideal conditions for sailfish cruising through. Kitefish with goggle eyes in 120-250’ of water, and after your first sail, target a tighter area around that depth. A few dolphin are still in the equation off Palm Beach Inlet, but no strong numbers seem to be showing up.

The snapper bite has been solid lately, with large muttons and yellowtail congregating on the reef. Live ballyhoo, sardines, or midsized pinfish work great.

Inshore fishing has slowed down quite a bit, with Snook and redfish becoming finicky to the tide. You’ll have to feel out each spot for what tide works best, and keep a close eye on it once you figure it out.

The bite was scarce last weekend, but it seems to have been picking up this week due to the full moon. A few wahoo are starting to show up from the full moon and mild cold front, especially closer to the Bahamas. Around here, 150-400’ is where wahoo have hooked up along with blackfin tuna. Troll with small feathers during lowlight for tuna, and use the small ones to catch wahoo. Another option is to pick up a local favorite Junkanoo Lure and high speed troll in a zig-zag pattern. Sailfish are also coming out of the woodwork, and kite fishing with hearty live baits like goggle-eyes or blue runners is your best bet.

Kingfish and large mutton snapper have been eating sardines near 120 – 200’, and yellowtail snapper has been showing up in strong
