John D. MacArthur State Park is located on a front barrier island resting along the Atlantic Ocean. The only state park in Palm Beach County, John D. MacArthur stretches along two miles of gorgeous beaches and is a fantastic location for swimming, snorkeling, and fishing within the Atlantic Ocean’s sparkling blue waters. The park also features various special events throughout the year, certain to draw a crowd, including kid’s programs, guided adventures, MacArthur Under the Moonlight concerts, Summer Camps, other concerts, and more. At the Nature and Welcome Center, visitors can find a wealth of information about the park and whichever current events are taking place. The Beach Outfitters Gift Shop offers a large variety of unique gifts to commemorate your visit, including toys for children, books, home décor, jewelry, clothes, sun tan lotion, and local art. There are also kayak rentals available, which are rented daily on a first-come first-serve basis. A popular way to explore the waters of the park, as well as get a great arm workout, kayaking is one the more popular activities in the North Palm Beach area. Finally, there is a park for the kids to enjoy, plus nature trails, and picnicking facilities. A trip to MacArthur State Park is the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon!
