South Florida Beyond the Beach

South Florida is known as the Sunshine State, nonetheless it has its share of sun showers.  South Florida weather is tropical, breezy and warm all year long! It's considered semi-tropical or anequatorial climate which means the weather in South Florida is that of a tropical environment.  If you need a raincheck for a beach outing postponed by an afternoon shower, try something enchanted and mythical.

When it comes to mermaid history, there is historical evidence that mermaids are real. Before you doubt the evidence, keep in mind that more than 95% of the ocean has never been explored by humans. Could mermaids be hiding in the deep sea?

For centuries, there have been tales of beautiful mermaids seducing sailors with their songs and countless eyewitnesses have claimed to have seen real mermaids around the world. The sightings go all the way back to the Roman Emperor Augustus. Artists have produced images of mermaids drawn from life observations.  Christopher Columbus argued that he saw three mermaids off the coast of Haiti.

Inspired by the Esther Williams' Hollywood movies and see a live “mermaid” show.  "MeduSirena Late Night AquaBurlesque" starts at 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at the bar inside the B Ocean Resort and is for patrons age 21 and older. The mermaids are covered in rhinestones and the performers can be seen swimming in a pool from windows behind the bar. The costumes are inspired by classic Las Vegas burlesque shows.
