Seafood Festival

You are cordially invited to Port Salerno Seafood Festival. “The fish is fresh, the beer is cold, and the smiles are always warm!”  The Port Salerno Commercial Fishing Dock Authority, Inc. hosts this seafood festival each year, which is a not for profit in the Stuart area on January 26, 2013.  Seven years ago, it started as a humble fish fry and it has evolved into one of the tastiest events on the waterfront! Along with the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County, and others, this year’s organizers are anticipating 40,000 visitors to the festival.  www.bgcmartin.org/

Located around the Manatee Pocket area of Stuart and along the water near Pirate’s Loft, the festival is accessible by free water taxi or free trolley service.  Water taxi service will depart from Hinckley Boat Yard and Sandspirit Park.  Landlubbers can catch a ride on the trolley departing from a lot on Commerce Avenue next to Wallace Automotive or Indian River State College on Salerno Road. www.manateepocketproject.com

Please participate in the food donation drive.  Support proceeds benefit many local charities including Boys and Girls Club of Martin County, Port Salerno Elementary School, Sherriff’s Youth Ranch and Salvation Army of Martin County. Bring nonperishable food items to designated collection points near the entrances of the festival. You can make a difference in fighting hunger in our community!

Each year the festival continues to grow, offering the freshest fish, caught in local waters. Bringing local band favorites to perform on two stages, 150 art booths on display, and offering a greatly expanded “Kids’ Fun Zones” – it’s fun for all ages! Hours are 10:00am – 8:00pm.
