Summer in Paradise, also known as S.I.P., is a set of events and free things to do this summer in West Palm Beach. The events range from fireworks to live music, outdoor movies, downtown shopping and dining deals and much more.
The premier event during the S.I.P. is the weekly Clematis by Night. Where concerts happen every Thursday night featuring performances by local bands playing everything from country, to reggae, pop, rock and more. Several restaurants and bars in the area host food and drinks specials for the event. Clematis by Night is every Thursday from 6 pm to 10 pm during the summer except for Thursday, July 5th.
New for this year’s Summer in Paradise are the Fairy Tale Playhouses. Where there are 15 child-sized playhouses around town to represent fairytales from different countries. Some of the playhouses include “Jack and the Beanstalk” from the United Kingdom, “The Frog Princess” from Poland, and much more. More playhouse are located in the Magic Garden, a community greenspace located at the corner of Rosemary Avenue and Evernia Street and at the Palm Beach Outlets. Local artists designed the playhouses that were revealed during Clematis by Night last week, and the playhouses will be auctioned off to support local nonprofits on Thursday, July 26th during Clematis by Night.
Another popular event during the Summer in Paradise is the 4th on Flagler. The 4th on Flagler is one of South Florida’s largest free Independence Day event. This year the event will be even bigger to celebrates the 4th on Flagler’s 30th anniversary. The event will feature a 18- minute firework display over the water, live music, delicious food and drinks, family-friendly games, a Military Honor Ceremony and much more. The event takes place on Wednesday, July 4th from 5 pm to 10 pm.
The Summer in Paradise will also include more fun for the entire family including Art Night Out, Screen on the Green, Sunday on the Waterfront, Family trivia and much more.
