Go outside of your comfort zone and talk a walk on the wild side. Flamingo Gardens, 3750 South Flamingo Road, Davie is worth the drive. Originally the property of Floyd and Jane Wray, who built a home and citrus grove here in 1933. At the time, it was at the edge of the Everglades.  They started a collection of tropical and subtropical fruit trees and shrubs. The Wray home still stands today and now is a museum illustrating a country home in the early 1930s.

Flamingo Gardens has been in existence for over 90 years. It is a 60-acre, not-for-profit botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary like no other you have ever encountered. The collection features exotic, native and very rare plants.

Mounts Botanical Gardens of Palm Beach County, 531 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415 is the oldest and largest civic botanical garden in the Palm Beaches.
