Guest Conductor Gerard Schwarz will be leading the Palm Beach Symphony in a rendition of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A Major, K 414 and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 in E Major this Friday at the Kravis Center.

The show will also include a performance by legendary Pianist Leon Fleisher. In the 1950s, Fleisher signed an exclusive recording contract with Columbia Masterworks. He is particularly well known for his interpretations of the piano concerti of Brahms and Beethoven, which he recorded with George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra. They also recorded Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25, the Grieg and Schumann piano concertos, Franck's Symphonic Variations, and Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.

Jay and the Americans, the original blue-eyed soul groups, is playing at The Lyric Theater in Stuart this Sunday, March 10th. The group famous for songs like “She Cried,” “This Magic Moment,” and “Cara Mia.”

They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002 and played Madison Square Garden 18 times, a highlight of their career. “Selling out Madison Square Garden, you never forget,” band member Deanne said. “There were kids screaming our names. It was mind-boggling and we never dreamed it would happen. It was a wonderful thing. We came off stage bewildered because the audience was standing and screaming.”

Sierra Hull, a South Florida favorite, is playing at the Lyric Theater this Saturday, March 2nd. The bluegrass singer, mandolinist and guitar player first played the Grand Ole Opry when Alison Krauss called her to the stage. She was 11. Now 26, she has played the White House, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center and was the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship to the Berklee College of Music.

The biggest and best country music festival and BBQ returns to South Florida this Saturday, March 2nd. The WIRK 2019 Rib Round Up Music Festival brings together some of the biggest names in country music along with tantalizing BBQ by selected pit masters that’s a must-have at this annual event.

For those unfamiliar with the Rib Round Up festivities, the day starts off with a tailgate party that rivals what you can expect from a college football game. There are a couple of great bands, The Expendables and Ballyhoo!, coming to the Abacoa Amphitheater this Saturday. They will be playing from 5pm to 10pm, so stop by if you want to start or finish your night out in the Abacoa Town Center with some great, high-energy rock music.

Country music hall-of-famer Ricky Skaggs and his band “Kentucky Thunder” are coming to The Lyric Theater in Stuart. Skaggs, whose music spans the country music spectrum from bluegrass to gospel to mainstream, is a multi-talented musician who plays the mandolin, fiddle, mandocaster and banjo. For his Lyric show, he and the band will perform songs from his long and illustrious career, including “Sis Draper,” “Return to Sender” and “Road to Spencer.”

In addition to his 15 Grammy Awards, Skaggs has won eight Country Music Association Awards, including the prestigious Entertainer of the Year Award in 1985. In 2010, Skaggs was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and received the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award from the Academy of Country Music.
