The IPIC Theater recently opened in Delray Beach last week. The upscale movie theater located just south of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach on Thursday, March 7th.

The theater complex features eight giant movie screens, office and retail space and a parking garage. The movie theater seats are viewing pods, which wrap around movie goers to create your own private space. The seats recline, in addition to be very comfortable. The pods also come with hidden cup holders, a blanket and a pillow. The seat pods reduce the amount of seating per theater, but the movie theater has 443 seats with the auditoriums ranging from 40 to 80 seats in each.

This upcoming weekend the Delray Beach Open is back in Palm Beach County for a few days. Join some of the greatest tennis players and stars take to court for the 2019 Delray Beach Open. The Open starts this Friday, February 15th and goes until Sunday, February 24th. The 10-day tennis tournament features some of the best ATP Champion Tour players and ATP World Tour players. This event is just one of 10 ATP Tours in the United States this year.

The Open consists of competitive, single elimination single and double events with some of the top-ranked men tennis professionals in the world. The Everglades National Park is located within a 2.5-hour drive from Palm Beach County. The National Park is considered to be one of Florida’s most cherished state park. In August 2018 the park turned 96 years old and is the third largest park and third largest tropical wilderness in the country.

CPB at The Colony Palm Beach: The colorful boutique hotel has opened a new restaurant hotel this past December. CPB is led by executive Chef Tom Whitaker and offers a contemporary American dining experience with a playful twist. The menu is spilt into three sections, seasonal, harvest, and classics. The classic side of the menu features dishes such as steak tartare, poached lobster, and beef tenderloin. A holiday-time event that is unique to Southern Florida is the Boat Parade. All throughout southern Florida’s waterways local boat owners decorate their vessels with millions of lights to celebrate the holiday season. The glistening boats line up and parade throughout the waterways for local spectators to watch. This year is the 45th Annual Boynton Beach Boat Parade. 

The parade will begin on Friday, December 8th at 6:00pm. “This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge near Old Key Lime House and motor south along the Intracoastal Waterway to the C-15 canal in Delray.
