The Nature Center is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to bring environmental education and awareness to the local community. The Center is located at the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge, in south Martin County.

The Nature Center was opened by a couple in 1973 to educate people of all ages about Florida's fragile ecosystems and environment. It has a 30+ year partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service which allows it to conduct educational programs on-site, while the service provides and maintains the facility.

In the 80s the Center created the "Friends of the Nature Center" to help gain support and encourage people to take an effort in helping with the mission. Members of the Friends would in return receive "The

Will To Escape is an escape room that offers a challenging and exciting experience for friends as they try to find clues to escape the room. Escape rooms are leading the entertainment industry all around the world. Many escape rooms are themed, and guests enter the room and are locked in and must listen and find clues to open the door. Not to worry because all escape rooms have a button that will unlock the door in case you would like to get out.

Grab the kids sometime this Summer and head to Flamingo Gardens, which is located on 3750 South Flamingo Road, Davie. Trust us, it's worth the drive. Originally the property of Floyd and Jane Wray, who built a home and citrus grove here in 1933. At the time, it was at the edge of the Everglades.  They started a collection of tropical and subtropical fruit trees and shrubs. The Wray home still stands today and now is a museum illustrating a country home in the early 1930s.

Flamingo Gardens has been in existence for over 90 years. It is a 60-acre, not-for-profit botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary like no other you have ever encountered. The collection features exotic, native and very rare plants.

The SilverBall Museum in Delray Beach is not so much a museum as it is a hands-on deck arcade.

The SilverBall Museum houses dozens of pinball machines, skeeball, air hockey, pacman, frogger and other classic arcade games from the 50s through the 90s. They're all available for you to play for super cheap.

Feel like a kid again playing classic games while also enjoying a cocktail, glass of wine or beer from the full bar. While the games are old, the museum is new and clean and will soon be one of your favorite places to hang out.

The cost is only $10 for one hour of unlimited gameplay or $25 for an all-day pass.

Fun Depot is a huge indoor amusement center in Lake Worth. It has everything from go-karts to laser tag to batting cages and arcade games so there are plenty of fun things for the whole family to do.

Laser tag, in particular, is a favorite at Fun Depot. The game is held in a black-lit arena with loud music and lots of fog. Split the family up for a battle and try to tag them in the action-packed game.

When you're done head over the Fun Depot Cafe for refreshments and favorites like pizza, calzones, salads, hot dogs and ice cream.

Fun Depot is a great place to take the kids and you'll have fun too. Thursdays are family fun nights and the cost is $25 per person for unlimited games, laser tag and go-karts from 5-11 p.m.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is a non-profit and is one of Florida’s top-rated zoological organizations in the state. The zoo is located in West Palm Beach in Dreher Park and many animals in the zoo are endangered. The zoo houses more than 550 animals and over 190 species and roam throughout the 23 acres of tropical habitat.

Today, the Palm Beach Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm and is only closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Tickets are required for admission and the zoo is separated into different areas. Some of the animals that roam freely include: monkey’s, birds, tigers, bears, alligators, sloths, jaguars, and much more.

While there are plenty of scenic, smooth paths to ride on around Palm Beach County, there are also some rugged, adrenaline-pumping trails that'll be sure to thrill. Check these out:

The Hill

Dyer Park has a climbing/descending trail that is over 50 feet in elevation and great for endurance training. It's a huge hill surrounded by native forest with a 2.4-mile path up and down it. The path is made from crushed shell rock and is about 2 feet wide. "The Hill" at Dyer Park is a favorite for local riders because of the high elevation and for testing fortitude.
