Posted by Ali Kane on Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at 1:55pm.

This Saturday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring Turtle Walks on Juno Beach. The Turtle Walks are a unique program that allows guest to learn about and observe the nesting process of a sea turtle.

Turtle Walks are led by the Loggerhead Marinelife Staff who will patrol the designated section of the beach while searching for the sea turtles. Those who attend the Turtle Walk will get a after hours look at the current patients in their outdoor sea turtle hospital. Once a loggerhead sea turtle is found by a staff member on the beach, you’ll be led down to the beach to witness the experience.

Registration is required for the event because due limited space. The State permits only can accommodate 30 people per night for the Turtle Walks and the dates fill up quickly. The Turtle Walks start at 9 pm.
