Real Estate Professional | Community Advocate | Problem Solver
Suzanne Slate's career journey has been anything but conventional, shaped by an early “school of hard knocks” education that prepared her for life's challenges. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Suzanne was recruited by Ross Perot’s EDS as a systems engineer and management consultant in Boston. The demanding hours and high expectations pushed her to discover the depth of her abilities, ultimately proving to herself that she could accomplish anything.
Suzanne's passion for golf and the outdoors led her to South Florida over 30 years ago, where she shifted her focus to real estate. She found her true calling in helping others navigate one of life’s most significant transitions—buying or selling a home. Suzanne’s approach is simple: listen to her clients, guide them with expertise, and deliver results. “I thrive on being with people,” she says. “I've worked with all kinds of people—amazing ones, and some tough ones. But I’ve never been intimidated. I treat everyone with respect and speak with intelligence, and if I don’t know something, I’ll find the answer.”
Her background in engineering instilled a strong sense of discipline, attention to detail, and problem-solving. “In real estate, as in engineering, paying attention to detail and being logical is crucial,” Suzanne explains. “I take stressful situations and break them down into manageable pieces, providing clients with the information they need so the process of buying or selling feels less overwhelming.” Suzanne’s relentless follow-through and dedication to every deal ensure that nothing slips through the cracks. “I have an insane nagging in my brain when something isn’t finished. I won’t let a deal fall apart due to a missed detail or deadline.”
Beyond her work in real estate, Suzanne is deeply involved in charitable and nonprofit organizations that benefit her community. A cause close to her heart is the South Florida Kids Cancer Foundation, as her son Ben was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 9. “He never complained through the chemo, surgeries, and challenges, and today he continues to face complications with grace and strength. He inspires me every day, and if he can keep going, so can I.”
Whether it’s guiding her clients through the complexities of real estate or contributing to causes that matter, Suzanne is driven by a deep commitment to excellence, compassion, and making a difference.
