For those who care about nutrition, taste and quality of their fruits, vegetables, meats and poultry, local farms are selling through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships.  With a significant shift in nutrition awareness, genetically modified and processed foods have become less desirable.  There is a huge misconception that local organic fruits and vegetables are more expensive.  CSA memberships and community plots keep costs down.

CSA's generally focus on the production of high quality foods for a local community, often using organic or biodynamic farming methods, and a shared risk membership–marketing structure.  The essential design includes developing a consistent consumer group that is willing to fund a whole season’s budget in…

Housing Market Growth

The U.S. housing market continues to recover even with a slight dip in housing stars (i.e. new home construction). Due to a strengthening economy and gains in the job market, the housing market has been positively affected and continues to strengthen.

However, in 2014 we saw an overall increase of 19% in housing start ups and as of January 2015 that number has fallen. “U.S. housing starts fell 2% in January from a month earlier to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.065 million,” the Commerce Department said Wednesday, February 18. Try something different and go stargazing!  Experience the natural beauty that is the South Florida night sky.  Stargazing is the simply the act of observing stars, moons, planets and other objects in the night sky.  Humans have been observing the stars for thousands of years.  All that is needed is a clear sky away from the bright lights of the city.  Aficionados bring charts, binoculars and telescopes to see distant stars and constellations.

There are 88 constellations that can be seen from almost anywhere in the United States, but not all at once.  As the Earth makes its orbit, the placement of stars in the sky appears to move.

This weekend, telescopes are scheduled to be set up for the public to…
