The Barrett- Jackson Auto Auction and Show is rolling into Palm Beach County next week.  The popular auction is in its 19th year and will be taking over the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

The Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction is one of the world’s finest car collector events. Palm Beach County is just one of four stops on the exclusive roadshow. Each auction will be broadcasted internationally to an audience of millions around the world.

During the weekend long event, multiple auctions will take place for a chance to get a dream car. The weekend will include car lectures, merchandise, products from top luxury brands, and even thrill rides from a wide range of automakers.

The latest update regarding Jupiter’s U.S. One bridge is that it may be postponed. The Jupiter U.S. One bridge may not close for replacement until 2023. 

The temporary detour for the bridge construction will begin in the spring of 2023 and will take approximately 20 months. Construction is scheduled to be complete in mid-2025. Click HERE for the complete article.

The State of Florida eligibility groups have been updated. All Florida residents 40 and older are eligible starting March 29. 

Starting April 5, everyone 16 and older can get vaccinated. Instead of spending hours searching the internet, you can use our all-in-one guide on where to get the COVID vaccine in Palm Beach County. The vaccine is free for recipients.

Long-term care facility residents and staff.

Persons 40 and older (drops to 16 on April 5)

Health care personnel with direct patient contact.

Persons 16 to 39 deemed to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 by hospital providers and doctors. The state published this form for vulnerable residents to get signed by doctors and use at vaccination

Jupiter and several other beach towns in Palm Beach County and Martin County have made the list for the 50 Best Beach Towns To Live In according to WalletHub. The survey and study was conducted in June 2020 that compared and rated beach towns across the United States.

Every beach town has its pros and cons, and the ratings were based on six categories for the study. The categories were weather, safety, affordability, education, health, and quality of life. The towns and cities ranged in population and most cities and towns on the list are in the state of California or Florida. Palm Beach County and Martin County has a few beach towns that have made the list.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular and reoccurring Lighthouse Sunset Tour this Wednesday evening. Climb to the top of the lighthouse’s 105 steps and take in the incredible sunset views over the inlet and Jupiter.

Visitors who attend the tour will get a chance to see inside the Lighthouse Watchroom and even get a chance to watch the light turn on and illuminate the sky. The iconic red lighthouse has been lighting the Jupiter Inlet since 1860 and remains an active aid to navigation on the water.

On select Wednesday’s during the year, Jupiter’s River Center hosts an after-school Science program for kids with Scientist Sam. The program is called Science with Sam and is aimed for children in grades K through 5. Each science class features a different topic.

The topics discussed and activities in the after-school program include garden exploration and hands on opportunities with wildlife. This Wednesday’s event is focusing on Carnivores.

The program is free to attend but those who wish to participate are asked to RSVP to reserve a spot due to limited space.
