Since 2010, the State of Florida has required anyone born after January 1st, 1988, to obtain their Boater Safety Identification Card by taking an approved state course if they wish to get behind the wheel of a boat.

This Monday, May 29th is Memorial Day and Boca Raton is hosting their annual Memorial Day Apple Pie 5K and Ice Cream Mile. The run is open to adults and kids, and you can still sign up to be a part of it. 

The 5K and Ice Cream Mile will take place at the YMCA of Boca Raton located on Palmetto Circle South. The race will include top finisher prizes, ice cream and t-shirts to all 1-mile runners, apple pie to all runners, post-race food, raffles, and much more. 

The Memorial Day Apple Pie 5K starts right at 7 am on Monday morning and the Ice Cream Mile Run will begin at 8 am. Kids races (8 years old and younger) will begin at 8:15 am.
