3 Fun Things To Do In The Palm Beaches This Weekend

Posted by Gerald Lombardo on Friday, December 14th, 2018 at 8:13am.

There’s a lot to do in the Palm Beaches this weekend. Here are just a few fun, local events that you might enjoy.

Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival

The 12th Annual Grand Tasting at the Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival is happening this Sunday at from 2pm to 6pm at the Palm Beach Convention Center. If you live in South Florida, you’re not going to want to miss this event. There will be plentiful dishes, dessert samplings, wine and spirit tastings and the “Grand Chef Throwdown” which is where three local chefs will compete for a $10,000 charity prize. The Throwdown will be hosted by Mo & Sally and Jay Cashmere.

Hello Dolly, the critically acclaimed Broadway play, will be showing at the Kravis Center this weekend. It’s a wonderful staging of the play featuring original choreography and starring the Tony Award-winning Betty Buckley. Hello Dolly follows the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi (a strong-willed matchmaker), as she travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for the miserly "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. In doing so she persuades his niece, his niece's intended, and Horace's two clerks to travel to New York City.

Food Truck Invasion

For many of us, the weekend begins Friday evening. That’s why we’re including the Food Truck Invasion in Abacoa on this list. The Food Truck Invasion features dozens of South Florida food trucks serving everything from Lobster rolls, to tacos, and ice cream, all in one place. It’s the perfect way to roll into the weekend.
