Things to do on the Fourth of July
When the Fourth of July comes around it means family, fireworks, and barbeques. In Palm Beach County there are several huge Fourth of July celebrations happening. Each includes many different fun activities like sand castle contests, live entertainment, kids activities, and of course fireworks. Here are some of the biggest celebrations around town:
Delray Beach
The Delray Beach Downtown 4th of July Celebration is a free event happening all day long. In the morning from 8 a.m.-noon, there will be a sand castle building competition and professional sand sculpture display by the Silverball Museum. Later on at 5 p.m. there will be lots of family entertainment including mini golf, crafts, face painting, vendors and more. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., they will be launched off a barge in the ocean creating a spectacular display over the waterfront downtown.

Boca Raton
The Boca Raton Fabulous Fourth is a free event at Spanish River Park starting at 6:30 p.m. Activities include carnival games, a toddler center, a giant slide, live music and performances, food and drinks and more. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show.

West Palm Beach
The Fourth on Flagler is one of the most well-known Independence Day parties in South Florida. There are three separate stages hosting live music and other entertainment, a military honor ceremony, fun games like life-sized Jenga, an air-conditioned arcade, a variety of food and drink options and other free activities for children. The fireworks are an extravagant display 18 minutes long ending with an American flag in the night sky. The fun begins at 5 ending at 10 p.m.
