50 Nautical Miles From Southern Florida’s East Coast to Carribean Paradise

For those of us lucky enough to call the Eastern coast of Southern Florida home, we know how tropical, relaxed and opulent life is here. If you happen to be a potential resident or a visitor, perhaps the idea of being only 50 miles from the Bahamian islands would spike your interest to make Florida your home.

The western islands of the Bahamas can be accessed by boat in just a couple of hours. By plane maybe only 30 minutes! This amazing feature grants residents of south Florida the luxury of essentially having Caribbean islands in their backyard. Imagine having breakfast in Jupiter and lunch in Old Bahama Bay. From Miami, you can be in the gorgeous and tropical isle of Bimini in less than 2 hours on boat.

Traveling to the Bahamas with such ease is a reality for locals who live in Jupiter and who own a boat or just have access to the airport. For those of you who are avid boaters or fishermen, you can expect to have some of the best fishing in the world along the way to your sultry, island destination. If boating and fishing is not your first choice, don’t fret. Both commercial and private flights are available to and from the Bahamas to Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami almost every day of the week.

Just imagine, in just a couple of hours or less, you and your family and friends can be kicking back on a sandy beach, surrounded by azure waters with a tropical drink in hand and the best food the Caribbean has to offer!
