6th Annual Palm Beaches "H.O.W. TEAL & TANGO"
September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and to help bring awareness to ovarian cancer. This year will be the 6th Annual H.O.W. Teal & Tango in Palm Beach County. Ovarian cancer is an insidious disease. Nicknamed the “Whisper Killer” because the symptoms are so subtle that the disease usually goes undetected until it is often too late for successful treatment.
In the Palm Beaches we are Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper raises money to support basic or translational research in ovarian cancer through the Jacquie Liggett Research Fellowship. Women with ovarian cancer experiencing financial need are helped through the Jacquie Liggett Angel Fund.
H.O.W. is dedicated to promoting awareness and recent advances in ovarian cancer by presenting educational programs to women primarily in our area. H.O.W. also provides scholarships to medical students interested in gynecologic oncology by working with a Gynecologic Oncologist during their elective time in medical school through the Dr. Robert C. Knapp Medical Student Award.
H.O.W - Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper is hosting the 6th annual Teal & Tango. It's a girls' night out on Thursday, September 7, 2017, between 6:00pm - 8:00pm at The Gardens Mall in the Bloomingdales’ Court.
Area woman and their families fight ovarian cancer. Supporters be offered an opportunity to shop exclusive items.
