Jupiter, Florida has been ranked number #9 out of 15 of America’s Happiest Seaside Towns according to Coastal Living Magazine, June 2011! The lifestyle and travel magazine advises readers of the country’s happiest places to live on United States coastline. They have based their standard on a few key factors including the Gallup Healthways Well Being-Index, the number of sunny days, low crime index, beach quality, great education opportunities, as well as other factors.
The quality of Jupiter’s broad beaches and luxurious amenities helped to position the prosperous seaside town into the top ten of America’s most wanted places to reside. Jupiter has been described as “easygoing and low key”. Jupiter is nestled just north of the island of Palm Beach and south of Jupiter Island. This is one of the most sought after locations in South Florida to call home. Residents and visitors enjoy the privacy and tranquil setting of the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Fortunately, in the coastal town of Jupiter, two other waterways enhance the local beauty, the Intracoastal Waterway and wild Loxahatchee River. Many private, gated golfing, tennis, and yachting country club communities are on these waterways, giving the homeowner direct ocean access from their own back yard. Green markets, concerts in the park, are all in Jupiter’s backyard…the town next door known as the Village of Tequesta.

After a while you will notice some of the same faces return season after season, year after year. Just as some of the marine life in the area.
Jupiter is known for the white strand of beautiful beaches along Florida’s coast. It also happens to be where hundreds of rare Loggerhead turtles come to nest. This year alone we had 382 Loggerhead turtle nests and 121 Leatherback nests on our Jupiter beaches. Even the turtles know a “happy” place when they find one and faithfully return every nesting season.
Jupiter, Florida is one of the most prolific Loggerhead nesting beaches in the world! There are actually five species of turtles that inhabit the waters off the Florida Coast, but it is the precious Loggerhead that is endangered. With any luck you will spot a nest location. Do Not Disturb It! Observe the nest from a distance and notice any sea turtle tracks that may have led up to it. It is an amazing sight to see! Jupiter is one to guarantee a smile!
