Every day through the season, the Café Des Beaux Arts at the Flagler Museum hosts afternoon tea Tuesday through Sunday. The café offers a large selection of refreshments, entertainment, sandwiches, delicacies and of course a large selection of different types and flavors of tea.
The café is located in the historic Palm Beach estate in the elegant Flagler Kenan Pavilion with great views of downtown West Palm Beach and the intracoastal. Café Des Beaux Arts serves a selection of traditional scones, sweets and gourmet sandwiches with every cup of tea severed on the estates exquisite Whitehall collection china.
Reservations for Afternoon Tea is highly suggested and can be made by calling 561-655-2833 or by visiting their website. The menu is prix-fixed, and no changes can be made, click here to view the menu. The café is open on Tuesday’s through Saturday’s from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and on Sunday’s 12 pm to 3 pm and costs $22 dollars for members and $40 dollars for non-members. The price also includes admission to the Flagler Museum, gratuity and tax. The café and the Kenan Pavilion will be closed on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th according to their website.
The historic museum was once home to the American industrialist Henry Flagler and his wife Mary. Flagler built and gifted the estate to his wife as a wedding gift. The home is now used as a museum to explain the history of the Gilded Age and Palm Beach, known as America’s first resort destination. Tickets are required to tour the home and can be purchased online or at the door. Audio tours, guided tours and printed self-tours are available and included in the ticket price.
