August Outdoor Programs in Jupiter
Enjoy every last drop of summer at Riverbend Park in Jupiter with outdoor activities. As the month of August marches on, no need to give up an opportunity to learn about the Jupiter area. Riverbend Park is offering the listed programs through the end of August. Riverbend Park is located at 9060 Indiantown Road in Jupiter.
BATTLEFIELD TOURS:.
Join a Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationist docent Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. on a battlefield tour and learn of the Second Seminole War battles that occurred here. All ages, FREE (Reservations required).
ARCHERY 101:
Join USA Archery and N.F.A.A. certified staff on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to hone your archery skills! This program is offered to archers who have attended 2 basic archery courses at Riverbend Park. Archers will shoot at different targets and different distances. Basic safety review will be conducted before heading to the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children. Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required).
FISHING FUN:
Learn basic fishing techniques on Saturday, August 27, 9:30 a.m. and safety while fishing for the big one! Proper outdoor clothing, water, sunblock and sunglasses are recommended. Fishing gear is provided. Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
