With the humidity slowly disappearing and the cooler weather rolling in, locals know that the slight change in the temperatures means it’s time for bonfire season.

The town of Lake Worth, known for the public display of art and hipster vibes hosts a series of beach bonfires throughout the Florida “wintertime”.

Start packing the smoke kits, comfortable blankets, chairs, and s’mores ingredients to meet up with friends and enjoy a nice relaxing beach party by the fire and under the stars. The bonfire event has been a Lake Worth tradition since the late 1990’s.

In total there will be eight planned beach bonfires starting this Friday, November 10th, and will last until February. Live entertainment will be provided at the bonfires by local bands and musicians.

Every Monday, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum host “Twilight Yoga at the Light”. Where you can experience the serenity of yoga on the lighthouse deck, under a huge banyan tree with the sun setting in the background, providing a perfect way to relax.

The yoga is taught by Mary Veal, from Kula Yoga Shala, located in Jupiter. The outdoor yoga event is for all levels of yoga and beginners are encouraged and welcomed to join in on the fun.

Yoga is a way of connecting yourself and relaxing in your normal everyday life. During the class there is no music, and no harsh lights, just the sounds of the water and nature in the peaceful sessions.

West Palm Beach’s very own Kravis Center for Performing Arts, has officially started its 2017-2018 “Kravis On Broadway” season featuring some award-winning and hilarious musicals for you to enjoy.

Starting this November, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King and I, a musical set in the 1860’s that tells the story of a very unlikely friendship that develops between the King of Siam and an English widow and schoolteacher Anna Leonowens. Whom the modest king brings to his palace in Siam to tutor his many wives and children in an imperialistic world. The unmatched pair fear and hate each other in the beginning but end up being friends in the end.

Loggerhead MarineLife Center, a staple to our community, is home to the many sea turtles that inhabit our beaches. The center undertakes long term research to rehabilitate and conserve the various sea turtle species, as well as educate the public on how they can help protect the sea turtles.

The center has grown in popularity among the locals, with its state of the art facility that is free and open to the public, seven days a week.

LagoonFest celebrates the picturesque waterways of Palm Beach County, where the water is found very easily. From the 47 miles of beaches and the Atlantic Ocean, to Lake Okeechobee, to the intercoastal waterways, water is everywhere.

The purpose of the LagoonFest is to encourage the public to discover the Lake Worth Lagoon and the importance of protecting it. The Lake Worth Lagoon runs 20- miles, from North Palm Beach to the Lake Worth Inlet in Boynton Beach.
