In a move that is largely considered unprecedented, the owners of the Boca Country Club have announced their plans to donate the exclusive country club to the city.

The club, which features an 18-hole Joe Lee designed championship golf course, tennis courts, a clubhouse, and a pool will now become a public club, with the goal of it going 100% public within the next year.

The club is currently owned by MSD Partners and Northview Hotel Group who purchased the property in June of 2019 along with the Boca Raton Resort and Club. They are donating Boca Country Club to the city in order to focus more on the Boca Resort and Club and also to help give back to the city and its residents.

While the club will become public moving forward, those who are…

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…unless you play on the PGA Tour over the next two weeks.

Thanks to some scheduling changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PGA Tour is taking up residency in Sin City over the next two weeks as it continues the fall slate of its 2020-2021 wraparound season.

This week, the Tour heads to Las Vegas for its annual stop at TPC Summerlin for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Next week, though, is where things get interesting.

Due to the pandemic, the Asian Swing, typically the centerpiece of the Tour’s fall slate, had to get drastically changed this year. The CJ Cup, typically contested in Korea at Nine Bridges has been moved to Vegas this year and will be contested at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.…

It was the evening before the final round of the PGA Championship and everything seemed to be aligning for Brooks Koepka to win an unprecedented third PGA Championship in a row. Brooks was just 2 shots off the lead and it appeared that the confidence was oozing. He even took a little jab at the other players he was battling at the top of the leaderboard, including Dustin Johnson.

What we didn't know at the time though, is just how different not just the final round of the PGA Championship would play out, but the next month or so of golf as well.

While Brooks came out the next day and shot a final round 74,…

Last week during the BMW Championship, it was revealed that Rory Mcllroy and his wife Erica were expecting the birth of their first child. With Erica due any day, it added a layer of intrigue to Rory's weekend rounds, knowing that the call could come at any minute and he would have to walk off the course. It would also explain his up and down play as of late as his mind was likely focused on the impending birth of his child and not golf.

On Thursday morning, Rory took to Twitter to announce that his wife gave birth to their daughter, Poppy Kennedy Mcllroy, on Monday afternoon at Jupiter Medical Center.

Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born August 31st, 12:15pm. She is the absolute love of our lives. Mother and baby are doing great. Massive thank you…

It was just a little over a month ago when Dustin Johnson failed to break 80 in his two rounds at the Memorial before heading home. The following week he traveled to Minnesota for the 3M Open where he opened with a 78 and promptly withdrew. It seemed like DJ was playing his worst golf during at the worst time with a major and the playoffs on the horizon.

What a difference just a few weeks can make.

After a runner-up finish at the PGA Championship, Johnson arrived at The Northern Trust in Boston, the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and proceeded to lap the field. Not only did he shoot a Friday 60 that easily could have been a 55, he won the event at a nearly historical 30-under par. As if all of that wasn't enough, the win moved Dustin back…

Jack Nicklaus is already synonymous with South Florida golf. In addition to becoming one of the first professional golfers to call the area home, he has put his name behind many golf courses in the area with his design firm. The list of golf courses that he has had a hand in working on is about to grow as well thanks to a new golf community currently in the works.

The Avenir development is currently being built in the Palm Beach Gardens area on western Northlake Blvd, and Nicklaus and his design firm, Nicklaus Design, has bee picked to design the golf course that will be a centerpiece of the new community.

Nicklaus will not only be designing the new 18-hole championship golf course that will be located on the northwest portion of the sprawling…

Back in 2014, Fox changed the entire landscape of televised golf when they and the USGA came to terms on a 12-year, $1 billion deal for Fox to begin broadcasting the Men's and Women's U.S. Opens as well as other USGA events. Well, just five years into that 12-year deal, Fox has pulled the plug and ended its partnership with the USGA.

On Monday it was announced that Fox has ended their deal with the USGA and that NBC Sports and the Golf Channel would be picking up the remaining 7 years on the deal. That means that after a five-year break, NBC will once again be airing the U.S. Open.

According to reports, Fox was going to have an issue airing this year's U.S. Open had they not pulled out of their deal. Due to the U.S. Open being rescheduled to…

In this new COVID era, we are all looking for things to do that are BOTH safe, fun, and will get us out of the house. For those that enjoy playing tennis and golf, you will be happy to know that not only is it safe to do so, but it is actually one of the safest things that you can do right now outside of your house.

A recent study was conducted by four doctors in Michigan to tell people the safest, and most dangerous, activities that they can do right now. They listed activities on a scale of 1-9, with 1 being deemed the safest and 9 being the most dangerous. On the list, tennis can be found on the "1" line along with getting takeout from a restaurant. That means that, according to these doctors, tennis is considered to be the safest outdoor…

After a 91 day layoff due to the coronavirus pandemic, the PGA Tour returned this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge. And boy did it come back with a bang.

With a field of golfers that rivaled a major championship and a leaderboard to back it up, the golf god rewarded everyone for their patience over the last 3 months with a battle for the ages over the weekend, and especially Sunday.

At one point on Sunday, just before the final group of the day teed off, there were 23 golfers within 4 shots of the lead that was held by 54-hole leader Xander Schauffele. The list of guys trying to chase him down included a who's who in the professional golf world. Gary Woodland, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rory Mcllroy, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Bryson…
