A jumbled, jam-packed closet will stress you out every time you get dressed.  It’s important to constantly manage your closet so that you only keep the things you love.  Instead of having a ton of things you don’t like or won’t wear.  Having less in your closet means having more, because when you only have good-quality pieces that you know how to put together you will always have something to wear. Decluttering can be daunting.

If you are trying to sell your house, an organized closet, not one overstuffed with junk, is important. If you have a home in Jupiter may be time to bring out caftans and beach cover-ups and store the wintry weather clothing days.  Although if you live in Palm Beach County you know we only get a handful of sweater days there shouldn’t be much to organize. It is important to declutter your house so it appears to have lots of storage space. Pack and store off-season clothes and shoes. Most potential buyers want to feel like they can easily fit all their possessions in the home and it still be well-organized.  All built-in cabinets and closets are fair game for potential buyers to inspect so the closets must be clean, well-ordered, and tidy.

If going through your closet feels overwhelming, it’s time to clean it out. The essential organizational skills, to eliminate, categorize, and organize, are learned and can be applied to all areas of life. To get you started, here are five things to get rid of right now:

Anything you haven’t worn in a year; If you haven’t worn any piece of clothing from your closet in the last year, it means there is something that just doesn’t work for you. It’s time to donate or give these pieces away.

Stained or damaged clothing; Every now and then your beloved pieces are beyond repair, those shoes with the banged-up heels, or the jeans that are stained.  Keep in mind that they are ruined and are just taking up space.

If you haven’t worn in a year; If you haven’t worn any piece of clothing from your closet in the last year, it means there is something isn’t right such as size or color. Clothes that don’t fit. If it’s too big, get rid of it. If it’s too small, get rid of it.  Consequently, if you have not worn the article of clothing in the past year it’s time to donate or give these pieces away.

Fill your closet with clothes you love to wear and fit you in to right now.  Organize your closets.    Arrange clothing based on type and color, it’s a way to make the space look roomy and organized. It could be reason  quite possibly end up in a quick sale of your property.
