One of the rewards of living in Palm Beach County, South Florida is going out to dinner with friends and family by boat. In our area, the Intracoastal Waterway is our marine highway. No restrictions on whether you are salt-covered from a day on the water or dressed for a romantic sunset cruise, in our area there is dockside bistro to fit your mood.

Here are some favorite spots:

Square Grouper Tiki Bar, 1111 Love Street, Jupiter on the Jupiter Inlet. 561-575-0252  This is a little piece of paradise, with beautiful water views of the Jupiter Inlet and its famous lighthouse, this local landmark boasts the 19-slip Castaways Marina and the most stunning scenery in the area. Wiggle your toes in the sand, catch a bite and a beer, and enjoy the views. It is also the home of several music videos, including Alan Jackson’s #1 hit, “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” with Jimmy Buffett.

Guanabanas, 960 North Highway, Jupiter.  561-747-8878.  Situated in a lagoon, off the south bank of the Intracoastal and Loxahatchee River is lush, tropically landscaped outdoor restaurant with live music, great tiki bar drinks, and culinary delights.  Local Jupiter surfers opened it up as a sandwich shop and today it’s known as 100% open air restaurant and bar with woven tiki huts, coconut palms  and banyan trees towering overhead. Come by car and valet park or tie up to the docks and enjoy the beautiful Palm Beach County winter weather.

Harbourside Place, 200 U.S. Hwy 1, Jupiter, 561-935-9533.   Pull up by boat or drive by car, stroll the open air shopping, featuring 13 shops, listen to the live music streaming from the open air amphitheater, or grab a bite to eat in one of 9 new restaurants, featuring The Woods, Bravo!, Deep Blu Seafood, Tommy Bahama, BurgerFi, Too Bazaar and others. A family friendly environment or drink and dine with the adults, make it your own.

Seasons 52, 11611 Ellison Wilson Road, Palm Beach Gardens, 561- 625-5852.  Seasons 52 is a “celebration of what’s good now. Seasonally inspired menus featuring ingredients at the peak freshness. Rustic cooking techniques, like brick oven roasting and open fire grilling that bring out natural flavors. And an ever-changing selection of global wines. All in a casually sophisticated setting.” Come by Intracoastal just north of the PGA Boulevard Bridge across from the delicious River steakhouse (another fantastic waterfront dining restaurant).

Sailfish Marina, 98 Lake Drive, Palm Beach Shores,  561-844-1724.   Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Sailfish Marina Restaurant. Enjoy waterfront dining with the freshest selections prepared by the chef. It is located at Palm Beach Inlet, directly across from Peanut Island.  Make an entire day of enjoying culinary treats, casual cocktails and stroll the marina and ships store.  Water taxi service is available.
