Explore the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary This Fall in Jupiter

Posted by Gerald Lombardo on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 at 3:20pm.

Locally, the Town of Jupiter is well known for its beauty and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Loxahatchee River. But what many don’t know is that Jupiter is also home to a wonderful wildlife preserve. The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Loxahatchee River District is a wildlife outing for the entire family.

Nature trails lead visitors through pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and cypress wetlands. Along the trails are wildlife habitats revealing a variety of native animals. Here you will see river otters, eagles, panthers, crocodiles, turtles, foxes, snakes, bears, and more creatures.

The sanctuary offers guests a unique opportunity to learn about Florida’s wildlife and natural environments. This exceptional shelter combines a nature center with a wildlife hospital. The Sanctuary cares for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and teach young and those young at heart about the environment, wildlife and the nearby surroundings.

The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organization devoted to the protection and conservation of Florida’s wildlife and natural resources. At the Sanctuary care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and educate children and adults about wildlife and our surrounding habitats.
