Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, hosting Fine Arts Exhibition
Florida Atlantic University, Department of Visual Arts and Art History will present the 2016 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition “Space”, April 15 through May 6. The exhibition will be located at Ritter Gallery, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton.
“Space” is the “thesis exhibition for emerging artists and designers working in various media including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, digital media and photography. Themes presented in the exhibition will span social and cultural critiques and conceptual investigations of form and material.”
The art show will feature a varied collection of two and three-dimensional pieces of work. The graduating artists will receive their Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in graphic design and studio arts. Study in the arts is vital to our society.
Art integrates mind, body and spirit. Graphic art and fine art cuts across racial, social, educational and cultural barriers. It creates awareness and enriches cultural appreciation.
Art shows exhibited at University Galleries, Florida Atlantic University are made possible by grants in part by the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council, Palm Beach County Cultural Council and the R.A. Ritter Foundation.
The University Galleries are open Tuesday through Friday, 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, 1 to 5 p.m. Class and group tours are welcome during public hours or at alternative times by appointment.
