With more than 1,300 miles of coastline, it is no surprise that Florida has an active and thriving seafood industry! Florida fishermen harvested more than 106 million pounds of seafood, including grouper, mahi-mahi, pompano, shrimp, mullet, snapper and Spanish mackerel.  Florida fishermen provide 100% of the entire nation’s domestic spiny lobster and 97% of the stone crabs.  According to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services more than 85 different varieties of seafood are harvested from our coastal waters.

Florida is ranked among the top 12 in the nation for fresh seafood production.  During the past five years, the dockside value of Florida seafood has grown by more than 25% to $222 million.  According to a recent University of Florida report, more than 10,000 jobs are directly related to the seafood industry.

It’s a dream come true, to live here in the Jupiter or the Tequesta area and know how easy it is to go out the back door, walk past the sun-drenched swimming pool, down your private dock and step onto the boat.  Head out on the sparkling blue waterways, past the historic Jupiter Lighthouse straight into the Atlantic Ocean for your own “fresh catch of the day”.  This part of Florida offers tranquil living, with the excitement of city living – fabulous shopping (Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, more), fantastic dining, and entertainment!

So many properties in the area have a different waterfront access.  Additionally, square footage and location (direct ocean, riverfront, Intracoastal, or canal) will greatly affect its value.  Please direct any questions you may have regarding properties in the Jupiter or Tequesta area to the Waterfront Properties and Club Communities specialists at RiverTeam@wfpcc.com.
