West Palm Beach Green Market

Don’t miss the last few weeks of the 19th season of the West Palm Beach Green Market! Rolling into town every Saturday, the Green Market and its vendors unfold into the streets of downtown West Palm. A rainbow of orchids and fresh flowers hang overhead and the scent of freshly popped, artisanal popcorn and baked goods fill the air.  You will be immersed in yards of fruits and vegetables, wrapped in endless views of the Intracoastal and surrounded by the local music. It is a feast for all of your senses!

If you haven’t experienced a Green Market Saturday yet, it is safe to say you’re missing out! The Green Market is the perfect weekend event to enjoy with family or friends. The Green Market is held at 101 South Flagler Drive on the West Palm Beach Waterfront. Over 60 vendors represent their farm fresh produce, hand made art and vibrant flowers at the Green Market.  If you want to be a vendor there is room for you too!  The market is known for its friendly vendors, buzzing atmosphere and unbelievable produce.

The market’s origin comes from inspiration of Italian and Spanish open-air markets. It began in October of 1994 when the former Mayor of West Palm Beach authorized it as one of the City’s Community Events.  Now locals and visitors alike anticipate the Green Market season. Green Market has a mission to provide the local society with the best in locally grown fruits, vegetables and agriculture. The market and its vendor also have a vision of supporting locally grown crops, helping to stimulate agricultural development, and backing the value added and specialty products.

The 19th season of the popular West Palm Beach Green Market kicked off on Saturday, October 5, 2013 and will run through May 31, 2014. Green Market hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will feature 105 vendors, 23 of which are new this season.

Parking is available in the Banyan Street garage. If you haven’t seen it for yourself, move it to the top of your list! The Green Market is just one of south Florida’s gems! For more information about the Green Market, please call Green Market Manager, Katrina Resch 561-822-1520.
