The reports are in and the trending colors for 2014 are out.  Interior design inclinations vary from time to time since so many people love to experiment with new style.  Consumers are becoming increasing aware of color and its impact on their home.

Pantone View Home and Interiors 2014 is a forecasting book that provides color and direction for interior spaces and/or home furnishings.  Pantone Color Institute has created nine color palettes for 2014; they are Techno Color, Physicality, Sculpted Simplicity, Fluidity, Collage, Intimacy, Moda, Tribal Threads, and Eccentricities.

Techno Color “acknowledges advances in technology” with vibrant and deep hues often executed in reflective surfaces – shades like emerald turquoise blue, purple jet, black,  and citron.

Sculpted Simplicity “recognizes “how important shape, form and structure are to the end product and/or environment.”  These colors are unassuming and elegant – ethereal gray, blanc de blanc, anthracite, travertine, twilight mauve and a hint of silver.

Moda “speaks of attention to detail and the drama of high fashion when translated into interiors.” These combinations can be theatrical or whimsical, but tastefully done – bold colors like red dahlia, blackberry cordial and wood violet.

Fluidity is the palette that understands “the human need for life-sustaining cool water tones, rendered largely in dazzling blues and blue-greens” that is reflective of picturesque Jupiter/Tequesta and the some of the magnificent waterfront residences in the area.
