Glamping is where nature meets luxury. If you’ve never heard the term before glamping, it simply means “glamourous camping.”

Glamping—or, for that matter, just good ole’ fashioned camping—is something you can safely do while practicing social distancing.

The people like to travel has changed. We no longer want a generic, one-size-fits-all vacation. All-inclusive resorts are out, authentic real-life experiences are in. Here are a few great places to go glamping in the Palm Beaches.

Headwaters

In our own backyard is the Headwaters Eco Retreat. Using old shipping containers on the banks of the Loxahatchee River, in Jupiter they have built a unique glamping destination. The main lodge at the Headwaters Eco Retreat is comprised of three up-cycled shipping containers, and is surrounded by native Florida plant-life, edible gardens, and other thoughtfully designed landscape elements.

The Griffin Ranch

Five miles from the Ocala National Forest, The Griffin Ranch is the basecamp for your adventure. No matter what the outdoor activity, you will have a charming cabin to come home to, and a claw foot tub to soak your bones in.

Oak Harbor Cabins

Oak Harbor Cabins are old Florida on the 1,000-acre freshwater Lake Lowery. Relax, unwind, drop a fishing line.   Family owned and operated since 1971, the third generation of the Anderson family are now involved to make your Glamping Adventure a relaxing enjoyable one.

Trail Lakes

Chickee Huts are what the native Seminoles and Miccosukees built to keep their families up off the ground in the Everglades, with a thatched roof to keep them dry.  The Trail Lakes Campground in Ochopee offers a version of this for rent, screened-in, of course, to keep the bugs out.

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo is more than just glamping; it is a family-friendly dude ranch resort. With a Saturday night rodeo, horseback riding, mechanical bull, 18-hole miniature golf, rock wall, and zip line there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. These luxury teepees make turning in at night fun on the range.
