Even for non-players, golf still usually comes to mind when people think of West Palm. And while our part of Florida obviously has a lot more to offer than nice fairways and greens, golf is still one of the biggest attractions. Since 2020, PBC has gone through a massive revival. It was recently ranked as one of the most popular destinations for 2025, but it's also now one of the most desirable areas to live in the U.S. year-round. Whether you're a local just getting into the game, or visiting with a group of friends trying to squeeze four rounds into a weekend, we hope this guide to the top 10 public golf courses in West Palm Beach helps you with the planning process.

Let's say you've recently moved to the area, and you've been thinking about joining a golf club. You've probably tried out all of the best public courses in Palm Beach County (and/or Martin County), and maybe you've played as a guest at a few private courses. Or, maybe you're already a member at a local club and just want to shake it up by playing some new tracks. Well, this off-season (May-October), everyone can play some great courses that are private during peak season. Here's how.

The most elite club in golf has gained one more member. Yesterday, with the biggest three-foot putt of his life, Rory McIlroy realized a dream. After one of the most turbulent, nail-biting Sundays in the history of The Masters, the Jupiter local became only the sixth player ever to achieve the Career Grand Slam: winning The PGA Championship, The Open, the U.S. Open, and The Masters. Now, we’re not a sports blog, we’re in the real estate business, so here’s what’s most interesting to us about the rare feat: of the six players who’ve done it, four of them live in Jupiter (at least part-time).

Alright, first of all, aside from being at Augusta in person, is there anything better than watching The Masters from the restaurant or clubhouse of whichever course you just finished playing? If you're a member at a club, then your clubhouse is likely the best place to watch. Palm Beach County has so many great golf clubs, communities, and courses, and they'll all be packed this weekend. However, there are also some excellent options that aren't directly attached to a club or course.

The first day of a golf tournament isn't typically the most memorable, but this morning (Thursday 2/27), history was made at PGA National. Jake Knapp (who finished tied for 4th at last year's Cognizant Classic the week after earning his first PGA TOUR win at the Mexico Open) has shot a bogey-free, 12-under-par, 59. With that, Knapp becomes only the 14th player on TOUR to ever play a round under 60 and the first to do it at an event in the state of Florida. He also broke the single-round record for this tournament, which was 61, set by Brian Harman in 2012.
