The City of West Palm Beach will present its Holiday Tree Lighting Thursday, December 3, 2015.  It is the world’s only 35-ft-tall holiday tree made from 600 tons of SAND.  The sand tree, “Sandi”, comes to life tonight with dazzling music and light show.  There will be entertainment and family-friendly holiday activities and a special visit from Santa.  The festivities continue rain or shine, on the Waterfront in Downtown West Palm Beach.

Kids and adults of all ages can enjoy:

•Glow FORE It.  Mini golf with 9 holes of glow-in-the-dark fun.
•Snowie-Ville.  You can enjoy creating your own life-size tropical snowman.
•Holiday FantaSEA.  A giant aquarium.
•Special visit from Santa.

You can become a part of the show with LED snowflakes that sync with the Sandi.  The snowflakes allow you to interact with Sandi through blinking lights and can be used all season long during return visits to Sandi Land, or to add some twinkle to your tree at home.  Each snowflake is $10 and will be available for purchase at the West Palm Beach Visitor Information Center and at the Waterfront Activity Station by the docks.  For more information visit http://wpb.org/sand-and-sea-sun/.

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, the City has rescheduled national recording artist PARMALEE to perform at a later date.  Concert by up-and-comer country singer Bobby McClendon is still planned after the tree lighting, weather permitting.
