The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is busy keeping young learners and science enthusiasts busy during this time. The popular West Palm Beach attraction is offering free virtual Science experiments and fairs for kids in grades kindergarten through eight grade.

Students are invited to head to their website and try the experiments out at home while being instructed online. The Virtual Science Fair will hosts sessions throughout the month of April and May and those who participate can compete in one or all of the themed weeks and events.  Participants will be spilt up by grades and a panel of judges will announce the winners from each grade and category.

Participation is free with donations requested.

Virtual Science Fair Schedule:

April 20th through May 1st: Backyard Science Lab

May 4th through May 15th: Slingshot Paper Airplane Launch

May 18th through May 29th: Rube Goldberg Machine

When the participant’s projects are ready for submission, those who participate must include a 30 second video of their project. For a complete list of rules and guideline, click here to visit their website.
