July Events at the Jupiter Lighthouse

The Jupiter Lighthouse offers a unique blend of fun events and tours each month. Whether you are a local from Jupiter or you this is your vacation spot, the Lighthouse has been an iconic symbol for old Florida and the rich history of Jupiter. The events are tailored according to the weather and time of year.  

For the month of July here are a list of tours and events:  

Hike Through History
July 6, 8-10am 

This tour takes you on a winding, 2-mile hike through the grounds of the Lighthouse. You will learn about the topography of the 120-acre preserve. The tour guides recommend bringing a hat, full water bottle and appropriate active wear. RSVP is required. You even have the option for a kayak tour immediately following your Hike Through History. 

Lighthouse Chickee Chats
July 2, 10:30am 

Perfect for the kids! Chickee Chats takes place under the Lighthouse under the shade of the banyan tree. The kids will love the story time and crafts that are focused on educating them about the nature, wildlife and history of the Lighthouse area. Parents, this is perfect for kids 10 and under. Please bring a blanket or mat to sit on. RSVP is required. 

153^rd Anniversary of the Lighthouse
July 10, 5:30-7:30pm

Come celebrate another fabulous birthday of our city’s famous emblem. Join the Lighthouse volunteers on the deck underneath the banyan tree, overlooking the water. Food, drinks and cake will be served. Please reserve your spot at the gift shop. This is a private event and gates will be closed at 5:30pm so please arrive early. 

Lighthouse Sunset Tour
July 5, 19, 24 

Enjoy the brilliant sunset views from the top of the Lighthouse. Another unique experience this tour offers is the chance to see the light turn on to illuminate the coastline. Visitors get an exclusive look inside at the working parts of the light and the watch room. This tour last approximately 75 minutes. RSVP is required, $15 for members and $20 for non-members. 

Lighthouse Moonrise Tour
July 22, Tour time varies by moonrise

You won’t want to miss this tour! Join the lighthouse crew for an incredible evening under a full moon from the top of the tower. The views are breath taking, you almost feel like you can look across the ocean to another world from this point. The moonrise tour is about 75 minutes and is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.
