Upcoming, this Saturday December 6th, is the Second Annual Kiting for Kids Toy Drive held at the Jupiter Beach, Stairway 33 from 3:00p.m. To 6:00 p.m.

Together, a group of awe-inspiring local kite surfers and an incredible photographer created, Kiting for Kids, an organization that originated in Jupiter, Florida as a way for the kite surfing and the beach community to pay it forward to children battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Kiting for Kids began in 2013 and now beaches are joining and donating toys from Melbourne, Florida to Australia all the way to the Cayman Islands and Paros, Greece, local businesses and families will collect toys and bring them to Kiting for Kids toy drive and famously “The Grinch” will be there to take pictures with the kids.

For those that will not be able to attend the toy drive, convenient donation boxes are set up around town at local business shops such as Florida Paddleboards, Blueline Surf and Paddle, Ocean Magic and Local Surf Shop. "We are just so grateful to see how the entire community is coming together to support this great cause. Local shops are promoting the toy drive and collecting toys for us, making this much more than a kiting event, it is a community event," said Damien Leroy of the local surf community.

"It’s all about making smiles for kids who need some happy days! So, take part and be the change you want to see in the world and together let’s all MAKE A DIFFERENCE!"
