Dozens of women enjoy flooding the waters off the southeast coast of South Florida; some even for the first time have gained a new hobby for fishing. Are you ready to learn how to fish from the professionals on the water? The weather is beautiful and the fishing this time of year is nonstop!
Women, men and teenagers are all welcome to get involved in the South Florida “Ladies, Let's go Fishing!” event at the University at the I.T. Parker Community Center in Dania Beach, Florida this weekend. The program trekks around the Sunshine State to introduce more women to the sport and has an opportunity to acquire all the ins and outs of fishing! Be sure to check out the events list, Ladies may be fishing in your area!
The weekend offers classroom demonstrations with hands on, one-on-one seminar stations that give grounding in deep sea fishing, fly fishing, what type of tackle and equipment to use and how-to’s, such as knot tying, bait rigging, reel upkeep, cast netting, de hooking, technology etc… The weekend program also offers an optional charter fishing trip on Sunday along with much more!
This fun fishing event is great to meet new people and network with those that enjoy the outdoors! It is a welcoming program for those that just relocated to Florida with the opening to study the area and how to fish in this gorgeous location. Fishing is a sport that many Floridians have tried at least a couple times and the program hopes to get more and more woman hooked to what many assume a predominantly male sport.
“New for 2015 is the Ladies Choice option to bring a male guest or invite teens to include the whole family. Eight thousand women have graduated. Women and their families can learn, practice and go offshore charter fishing at this non-intimidating weekend of fishing fun.”
