South Floridians, it is going to be a busy Memorial Day Weekend! Brace yourself with many gatherings coming from all around the world to enjoy the Sunshine State and what we have to offer! All indicators point to more people hitting the roadways and hopping on planes this year to rejoice the holiday than previous years. From BBQ’s to festivities, time in the sun, hitting the local shops for those great “Memorial Day” Sales, to fireworks and simply enjoying the three day weekend with family and friends and of course, Fishing!

Here is the recent report for Palm Beach County:
OFFSHORE- Anglers that are going out way deep may find a number of dolphins. There is no specific “hot” depth, just a fair pick off of floating debris, weed lines and offshore current rips. While you are out deep, don’t be surprised if you land a blue marlin, there is a good chance with many being caught over the past few weeks. In bit closer in, during the early mornings or late afternoon the kingfish have been a bit fired up about the live baits and seeing a few cobia in the mix.

The “unofficial” start of summer deserves a pause as we all keep in mind the true spirit of the holiday weekend, as a time to celebrate and commemorate the brave members who have fought and fallen for our country. Many wreath ceremonies and concert tributes are held in South Florida.

Also, if you plan to indulge in a few party drinks and don't have a designated driver, AAA is offering a Tow to Go program to anyone Friday through Tuesday. Call 855-286-9246 for the free service.
