NEW YORK TOURISM SITE REDIRECTS VISITORS to SOUTH FLORIDA

You can almost continuously tip your sun hat by the ending of another flawless day in South Florida. It is the state with the sunniest winter climate on the east side of the United States as well as the highest temperatures on average during the winter months. “The climate has always been Florida's most important natural resources, which is reflected in its official nickname, the Sunshine State."
According to the Palm Beach Post and New York Daily News, the tourism office in Ithaca, New York is waving the flag urging visitors to go to Florida instead! Stating that “The home page displays Sunshine State vacation photos and provides links to the website for tourism information about the Florida Keys and Key West. The National Weather Service say anywhere from 6 to 15 inches of snow are possible by evening. Bitterly cold temperatures are expected to follow, with lows below zero. The top of the Ithaca page reads: "That's it. We surrender. Winter, you win. Key West anyone?" Referring to the Ithaca website it suggests visiting the Florida Keys this week and returning "when things thaw out." “We’re dreaming of palm trees too, as much as we’re supposed to push tourism for our area.”
