The Norton Museum of Art is celebrating a milestone. This year, the museum turns 80 years old is celebrating this weekend by hosting a virtual anniversary party and a virtual auction.

The traditional gala and dinner has been cancelled for their big celebrations, but the museum is still going to host a celebration, just in a different way. The virtual anniversary celebration will be held this Saturday, February 6th from the comfort of your own home.

The virtual event will include a tour by the artist in residence Mario Berrio’s show ‘Waiting for the Night to Bloom’, conversations with the artist and the museum’s Director of Curatorial Affairs Cheryl Brutvan, a spotlight on the Norton’s Teen Advisory Squad, a musical performance, and an auction that will continue through Monday. The virtual events will begin at 6 pm.

80th Anniversary Virtual Celebration Details:

When: Saturday, February 6th

Time: 6 pm

80th Anniversary Art Auction hosted by Sotheby’s Details:

When: Monday, January 25th through Monday, February 8th

The auction features more than 90 lots of art, jewelry, and other exclusive items presented by Sotheby’s.
