The purpose Palm Beach County Art in Public Places initiative is to stimulate cultural interaction, education, and economic development by selecting, installing, and maintaining public art. The Art in Public Places program is funded through a one-percent public art fee. As growth happens, public art is integrated into the architecture, infrastructure, environment, and greenbelts.

Supporting art in public places, the CANVAS organization transforms landscapes into an interactive art experience, energizing spaces and engaging with the city from concept to completion. Immense murals and installations dot the landscape. The installations complement public and private events as a connection between the artists and the community.

After curating art for two years in West Palm Beach, CANVAS brought color to the city of Lake Worth for its third year. Billed as the nation’s largest outdoor museum show, CANVAS brings together the most innovative contemporary artists, collectors, and art influencers from around the world.
