Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Re-accredited as Primary Stroke Center

For the fourth consecutive year, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Heart Check Mark for Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers! Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center was the first hospital in Palm Beach County to perform open-heart surgery, has remained a leading heart hospital in the United States. 

The Gold Seal of Approval  and the Heart Check Mark represent symbols of quality from their respective organizations. An accredited acute care hospital  will be awarded the Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers for a two year period.         Hospital programs applying for Primary Stroke Center Certification will be evaluated using the standards in the Disease-Specific Care Certification Manual. They must demonstrate conformity to specific requirements outlined in "Advanced Disease Specific Care" for a primary  Stroke Centers. 

The Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, 3360 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, has received the the recertification every two years since 2009.
