PALM BEACH WORLD OFFSHORE CHAMPIONSHIPS OCTOBER 18 – 21, 2012
The world’s best offshore boats convene right here in beautiful Jupiter, Florida October 18-21, 2012 for the Palm Beach World Offshore Championships. This four day racing event and festival is brought to you by the Offshore Powerboat Association along with Powerboat Palm Beach. The reigning World Champions, Miss Geico Race Team, will be back to defend her title off one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. Boats range in length from 24 – 50 feet in length and travel up to 170 mph!
Bring the family! Vendors and exhibitors will be in Carlin Park and open to the public 10am – 6pm. All boats will be stored and worked on in the “dry pits” located in Carlin Park. Spectators will have the opportunity to observe the boats and crews of each team. Plan on enjoying delicious food, cold drinks, and a full bar near the amphitheater. VIP Passes and Pier Passes are available at the Gardens Mall. 15,000 spectators are expected to line northern Palm Beach County beaches this weekend to watch the jet engine powerboats race up to 170 mph.
