Getting his first-ever PGA TOUR win this morning here at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Austin Eckroat has clinched an exemption into THE PLAYERS Championship, The Masters, and the PGA Championship along with being fully exempt through the 2026 PGA TOUR season. After a sudden midday Sunday storm brought about two and a half inches of rain in about as many hours, play resumed at around 4:00 pm, only to be stopped at sunset (6:23 pm) and restarted this morning. On Sunday, Eckroat made a late-in-the-day surge to reach -15 and eek ahead of Erik Van Rooyen, who had finished his round just before sunset at 14 under par.

One of the biggest sporting events in Palm Beach County is upon us again, this time with a new sponsor. The 2021 Honda Classic will take place at PGA National Resort & Spa on mArch 15-21. As of now, the tournament will host patrons but with a reenvisoned planned from what we are use to seeing at PGA National. 

Attendance will indeed be limited in 2021, but tournament officials are building a unique and first-class fan experience, provided in a safe and responsible setting while making make a significant charitable impact in South Florida. 

As the primary focus is on the health and well-being for all workers, players and atendees with the tournament, and the local community, daily attendance will be limited.
